Guru

Today I want to talk about one of the main aspects of Hinduism: The gurus. When I say gurus I don’t mean the love gurus at any music channel, where 11 year old female teenagers test, if their big love really is in love with them. No I'm talking about the gurus of the Hinduism, Buddhsim or Sikhism. The guru or acharya is a teacher of a tradition. They hand their knowledge and wisdom on to their students, who will take his place when the guru dies. Gurus are highly respected. They are in one of the higher casts. If a Hindu has a question about his life or about the Hinduism texts he comes to a guru and ask him about it, since the guru should now all the texts word by word. Most of the them wear long hair and a long beard.
